Not truly sure what to think of this movie, besides liking its quirky, pictures-with-in-pictures approach. I'm not sure if the portrayal of Japanese women is better in this piece than others, but at least it gives one of the leads a heroine role.
If you're in for something very different in a movie experience, just watch Fukasaku's Fall guy.
