Review of Evil Things (2009) by John W — 05 Jun 2010
Dominic Perez weaves an eerie web of suspense and tension as 5 New York college kids head to the countryside for a getaway weekend. In the vein of "Blair Witch Project" the tale is told from recovered evidence after the disappearance of the 5 students.
The hand held HD camera work gives this film a gritty realism that will have you covering your eyes in fear... and taking a quick peek for more.
Written, produced, shot, directed, and edited by Perez, this film is a strong debut performance from a filmmaker to look out for.
