Review of Dagon (2001) by Salix A — 05 Nov 2007
This was excellent. It is very hard to come close to Lovecraft's terrirfying vision. Stuart Gordon has done a fantastic job. He should do all of Lovecraft's work. This film is based from the tale "The Shadow Over Innsmouth".
For the longest time the face on the cover intrigued me...I thought it was absolutely horrific! In Lovecraft's work one thing is always true: there is no escape. No light at the end of the tunnel.
No nothing...just you, and the gods, or some unimaginable creatures...
