Review of Dagon (2001) by Tom T — 18 Nov 2007
This is a really scary and bloody B horror picture, based on one of the first stories written by H.P. Lovecraft.
In the film, Dagon is a sea creature worshipped by the inhabitants of a coastal town in Spain.
Three things I loved::
(1) as scary as the main character's nightmares are, the reality of what he goes through is far scarier;.
(2) how the bloody violence is foreshadowed by a spilt glass of wine, dripping into the ocean.
(3) that the 'hero' is a wimpy and wears glasses.
See it with a friend!
