Review of Century of the Dragon (1999) by Mattias E — 09 Jul 2009
Totally conventional triad story by Wong Jing pretty poorly executed by Clarence Fok, but for some weird reason very much engaging. Why? Must be the prescence of Louis Koo, who fills his undercover cop shoes completely by keeping his overacting in check, thus only hinting at the vortex of conflicting emotions within.
You hardly even notice that Andy Lau, merely a shadow next to the mighty Koo, is the supposed star of this movie.
