Review of Centurion (2010) by Roy Hector K — 27 Mar 2011
One of the better Roman-themed films I have seen in recent times. Characterization is pretty good as well as the dialogue. What made the movie work though is the fast pacing, with lots of action, twists and turns.
It also gives valuable insights on the how the Romans and Picts (their enemies) live and fought in those days. The action scenes are fast and exhilirating. A bit gory in some parts, though the gore is mercifully limited to half a second shots.
Works very well as an action movie, and as a thriller. Very highly recommended.
