Little seen underrated gem of a film about an English guy (Laing) on holiday in Thailand who falls for a local girl (Mamee) and gets mixed up with some unsavoury Western mafia types. Presents an honest portrait of the highs and lows of being caught in a strange land, with an assortment of characters that will be all too familiar to anyone whoâ??s spent a lot of time in SE Asia.
