Review of Aladdin (1992) by Benjamin W — 14 Oct 2015
Probably my most favorite Disney movie of all time.
Now that I finally own this film on Blu-ray, it's just as incredible as I remembered it. Mix in some "Prince and the Pauper" with "The Count of Monte Cristo" and stir it up with some music and comedy and you're left with this gem. This time around I definitely understood all the references, but I also saw that this film highlights the income disparity in many such countries. So much so that we're rooting for the homeless orphan to not only survive, but to surpass his economic status.
