Review of Age of Uprising: The Legend of Michael Kohlhaas (2013) by Michael H — 05 Feb 2014
Harsh but magnificent film that many have failed to seize fully. The heavy atmoshpere and minimal screenplay gives a sense of the XVIth century Protestant rigor, which Mikkelsen conveys perfectly and which may have put so many people off.
The lanscapes and colors are stunning and the depiction of authority and indignation is gripping. Exceptional.
