Review of Woodstock (1970) by Rachael C — 10 Jun 2007
Well, I'm sorry that I missed the sixties, this momentous event in particular, but fortunately Michael Wadleigh was kind enough to bring along a camera and shoot 200-odd minutes worth of footage so that future generations would be able to gaze upon it from afar.
A superbly assembled documentary film combining all the musical highlights with some fascinating and rather poignant interviews from a few of the thousands of patrons who flocked to be there on the big three days.
All in all, a delightful and bittersweet taste of the flavour of the age.
