Review of Wind River (2017) by Fragya3000 — 21 Sep 2018

This movie really surprised me. I didn't even hear about it in theaters, and when my wife and I came across it browsing for movies to rent at home we passed on it several times. The trailer really made it seem slow, boring, and not really any different from any movie like this that I've already seen.

I couldn't have been more wrong. This is one of those movies that punches you in the gut and never lets you back up even after it's over. It's so powerful that I watched it with my best friend and we normally talk through a whole movie while we are at home but we sat in silence, completely gripped by this movie.

Jeremy Renner is fantastic, and this movie proved to me that Elizabeth Olsen is a powerhouse actress that is not fairly represented by her role as Scarlet Witch in the MCU. Instantly one of my favorites that I will come back to time and time again.
