Review of Ticking Clock (2011) by David Ray G — 05 Dec 2010
Sometimes I'm thankful movies like this exist so we can laugh a little! Okay, I guess some of the scenes were gruesome and not at all funny but the plot...my God, the plot! Dexter meets Orphan meets The Time Traveler's Wife meets Saw meets From Hell.
Neal McDonough is always great in the role of vengeful serial killer and I guess he was the only great thing about this movie - as was Austin Abrams, who plays the orphan James. Cuba Gooding Jr. caught in the infamous role of poor workaholic cheating drunk who is on the verge of losing his wife. He's not that great in that role.
Ticking Clock is a very watchable film, but it's rather silly. You just shake your head left and right by all the twists and unrealistic plot holes.
