Review of A Long Way Down (2014) by David Ray G — 05 Aug 2014
While I enjoyed the chemistry of the cast (Imogen Poots is a joy to watch), the movie was unrealistic in so many regards. It attempted to present the importance of human connection rising from desperation, but ended up being a cheesy, sugar-coated silliness that disregards the heaviness of a topic such as suicide.
I did appreciate the way it presented Toni Collette's character and her raising her son, but not much merit beyond that.
