Review of This Film Is Not Yet Rated (2006) by Dylan B — 09 May 2010
Wholly the most important film any filmmaker or avid film fan can watch. An eye-opening investigation into the hedonistic, offensive, and extremely broken system that is the MPAA - what is fascinating is that many of the board members are actually women too! This film addresses many important issues and questions this country hasn't had the courage to face no matter what the cost.
At times I felt truly disgusted to be an American and supposed film lover - also because I hadn't heard of many of the NC-17 films that were discussed during the length of the documentary. Was it George Carlin who said fuck the MPAA, or did I just imagine that?
