Review of The World (2004) by Grant K — 12 Oct 2007
A strange tale of love and life in Beijing for non-Beijingers. A fantastic setting for the film in 'the World' theme park which features downsized replicas of famous worldly monuments. The plot for me was confusing and lacked direction, but I suppose such is life for a migrant worker in Beijing.
It failed my fall asleep on the couch test, I had to watch the final half hour again this morning which left me with more questions than I had about the film before falling asleep on it last night.
