Jia zhangke has brilliant style. He's not only sensitive and sharp in selecting his subject matters, the still camera shots are just mersmerizing and convey strokes of genius. Of course, I think the actors' talent play an essential role, when there is no camera gimmick to fool your eyes.
Jia's the new zhang yimou, except that he's in my generation!
