Review of The State of Things (1982) by Richard D — 20 Jan 2008
Languid, yet hypnotic. Wenders pulls us into a dream-like state of bewilderment, making us feel as lost as the cast and crew of Munro's sinking project, then transports us into a paranoid 'European-Noir'.
Part homage to American Cinema and part slap in the face to Hollywood callousness.
