Review of The State of Things (1982) by Richard J M — 08 Sep 2013
A personal film for Wenders, The State of Things is a slow burner, which only picks up pace and interest in it's final third. Each character has their own story, but we never get any time to get to know them, leaving the viewer not really caring.
What State excels in though is its wonderful cinematography, captured well in the last scene, and a great soundtrack.
