Review of The Seventh Victim (1943) by Carlos F — 20 May 2009
My favorite of the Val Lewton RKO Horror Films. The mood is one of tragedy and menace. The sinister nature of the villany is chilling. This film stays with you and never quite ends, rather it dissolves, like the final scene does into the following quote from John Donne, "I run to death and death meets me as fast, and all my troubles are like yesterday.
Genious.
