Review of The Rage in Placid Lake (2003) by Dan B — 12 Sep 2007
There's some really funny, and at times smart material here. Something seemed to be missing though, and it might have been the lead performance by Ben Lee, which was mehhhh so so. Good movie though. I did laugh a lot, and it had some super-intelligent quick spurts of dialogue that would seem to creep up out of nowhere and really make the movie worth while.
For instance:
"Look, I understand schools over and you've finally realized you've peaked, your dull but priveleged lives are about to unfold, you know where you'll work, you know who you'll marry, you have nothing to look forward to except fucking eachothers wives.".
