Misadvertised as mainstream indie baseball movie(Whiplash meets Good Will Hunting.) It is not. It is a very strange and powerful movie. It is an art film(that doesn't mean pretentious, it is not a pretentious film.
) Sadly the distributors clearly felt the best chance they had to make money was to try to deceive the wrong audience into seeing. Too bad. I know a lot of people who would have loved Buschel's direction and the cinematography and Hawke and Simmons doing award caliber work.
I had no idea Johnny Simmons had this kind of performance in him.
