Review of The People vs. George Lucas (2010) by Erik S — 13 Aug 2014
I actually was a bit touched by this movie. It goes through all the mixed emotions that all the fans have felt ever since Phantom Menace was released and it really struck a cord with me. In hindsight when you see this movie it is easy to understand why Lucas transferred the reins over to Disney.
He didn't realize that he had created something that have outgrown him and the importance it actually have had for people that have grown up with the original trilogy. Let's just hope that Disney doesn't botch this.
But from the amazing success of their Marvel collaboration that doesn't seem to slow down any time soon. It is safe to say I am cautiously excited over how the continuation of the Star Wars legacy will progress.
