Review of The Lobster (2015) by Elyse B — 12 Jul 2016
The film is at once sobering and beautiful. Themes of lonliness, isolation, and conforming to societal norms run through every frame. The characters are haunting and will stay with you long after the movie ends.
Moreover, the ending is ambiguous and leaves the viewer to test their true level of optimism when it comes to love and companionship. The lobster is truly a gem of a movie.
