Review of The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939) by Sterling B — 04 Aug 2010
A well-made, if fairly pedestrian, adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel. With this movie, Basil Rathbone cements himself as one of the greatest screen Holmes' ever. However, while his performance is excellent, none of the other actors really do much to distinguish themselves.
