Review of The Dead Don't Die (2019) by Philipblake — 08 Sep 2019
This is by far the most strangest zombie flick that I've ever seen. I'm still very confused about this. Jim Jarmusch isn't Georges Romero for sure so it's probably not surprising to get a kind of comedy / horror / author weird mixed up story.
There's several great actors involved like Bill Murray, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Adam Driver, Chloe Sevigny, Tilda Swinton, Larry Fessenden, Iggy Pop and a lot of others famous names so the acting part is really top notch.
The direction and dialogues are also great and remind me Fargo on many aspect. But the story is really weird, the cinematography is lame and looks like a direct to video, there's some good score cues but for the most part is near to inexistant and the make up effects aren't amazing at all.
That's definitely not for everyone.
