I'm surprised by all the negative reviews on this film. I found it to be an intelligent commentary on the powerless roles of women in history and the seemingly timeless theme of the lengths women go through for the appearance of youth.
Delpy is fabulous in the role of Countess Bathory and does a fine job directing the picture too. Worth checking out to make your own minds up about it.
