Review of T2 Trainspotting (2017) by Gemma M — 29 Jan 2017
"First there was an opportunity......then there was a betrayal.".
A quote far from the truth with the sequel to the cult classic not betraying the expectations of the mass fan following it has acclaimed since its release 20 years ago. The intoxicating reunion of the four most famous heroin addicts takes audiences on an emotional journey as we learn where they are within their lives and how they got there. Boyle successfully retains his original directing style while delivering a realistic and believable modern plot as the paths of the four protagonists cross again.
The onscreen chemistry of McGregor, Bremner, Miller and Carlyle has not disappeared over the years and strengthens the entire film making it a sequel not to be missed by any fan of the first movie.
