Review of T2 Trainspotting (2017) by Matt S — 04 Apr 2017
A sequel is always in danger of being a clusterf#ck of a mess, especially if the original is a highly regarded bonafide classic. To wait 20 years to do a sequel is even more of a gamble, but my god does it pay off here with T2 Trainspotting! Danny Boyle and everyone involved put so much love and care into every aspect of this film and the entire cast give Oscar-worthy performances.
Anyone who is a fan of the original needs to see this, and newcomers will experience a different kind of cinema, one that is very bold yet poignant. T2 Trainspotting has secured a place firmly in my top 3 all time favourite movies!
