Review of Suspicion (1941) by Adrian B — 19 Jun 2010
Another great Hitchcock film. It starts out as a romance story but quickly turns disturbing when Cary Grant's character starts falling into debt and gambling behind Joan Fontaine's back. The various events occur leading Fontaine suspecting she will be murdered by Grant in the end just so he can collect on her life insurance, leading to a really good climax.
The acting, plot, and direction are fine in this film. I oddly enough watched it in colour, which was obviously edited in the 1980's. Great work Hitchcock. Also, another one missed off the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die List.
