Review of Streets of Blood (2009) by Adam F — 30 Oct 2009
Stop giving all the acting jobs for Afircan-Americans to rap stars. Are we really so shallow that we won't go see a black man act unless he has a gold album or two and is a wanna-be gangsta? Kilmer is okay and Stone is okay but this film is just more proff that both are tired and past their prime.
Neither puts in the effort to make their role anything more than passable. The story is ridiculous, the production values inconsistent, and more than anything I was offended that it plays itself off as a film about post-Katrina New Orleans.
Decent action scenes and the Katrina footage are the only things that make some moments of this film passable.
