Review of Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (2005) by Brett S — 16 Jul 2007
I loved this film. I had been familar with the story of Sophie Scholl, so thats one reason why I saw it. I was also fascinated that the film was from Germany, so I felt that seeing it in the German language added more authenticity.
Julia Jentsch was completely wonderful as Scholl, as was the rest of the cast. The capture scene in the university is one of the most frightening & suspensful scenes I have seen, since because I knew the true story, I knew that they were going to get caught.
Amazing film. My 2nd favourite film of 2005.
