Review of Papa Hemingway in Cuba (2015) by Ariel W — 28 Apr 2016
I saw this at the NY Film Critics Series in NY. It was a part of history I had never known. It was a fun ride and I loved seeing Cuba. Makes me want to go there. I thought the acting was solid considering how hard it is to make the dialogue from the 1950's seem so effortless.
I Also enjoyed seeing the humanistic side of Hemingway. All the other films about him create a caricature. Bravo to acting and the woman who played Mary Hemingway (Joely Richardson I think) her performance moved me.
I really loved this film.
