Review of Only the Strong (1993) by Rose É — 27 Aug 2008

I actually enjoyed this film a great deal more than I thought I would. I was surprised too because I thought it was a B movie, but it's not. The fight scenes are very interesting and the fac that they showcase Capoeira is very interesting.

They way they depict is very interesting too because it does not make it too incoherent to understand or dumb it down too much. The overall message of the film is great too. I really have a soft spot for 90s action films like this, especially when it's about some badass coming to a rough school and beating up gangs.

A true classic. Paco Christian Prieto (Silverio in the film) was very menacing too. I'm surprised he was not in more films.
