Review of Oh! What a Lovely War (1969) by Chris C — 03 Nov 2007
One of the best WWI musicals you are likely to see. But actually, it is definitely one of the most interesting anti war films I have ever seen. Very theatrical yet very cinematic at the same time. A very innovative movie.
I might agree with the comment Richard Attenborough made after the screening which was the first time he'd seen it in 20 years, that it was a little bit too long, but not a huge issue and nothing to really ruin the movie or anything.
Definitely worth a watch.
