Review of Oh! What a Lovely War (1969) by Neil A — 10 May 2011
Quite an odd World War One satire but still a compelling and effective one. It's very much in the mould of the Dr. Strangelove's of this world. Like Kubrick's film it is funny but the humour is very well judged.
Ultimately this is still a war film and it does carry with it a certain poignancy.
