CLEARLY inspired by the 'Saw' movies, it gets too close to many of Saw's core elements. None of those influences stop this being a half decent movie in it's own right, though... until the end.
I suppose the influence of 45,000 sequels was too much to ignore and the move away from the perfectly acceptable natural ending does that, but caps the movie with a bad egg instead of a cherry.
Fans of Hart should check in to see her post teen stuff. She looks older than her mid-thirties, which helps her character and she attacks everything with more gusto than it deserves. Great to see her outside of comedy - she does serious much bettter.
