The French Connection and To Live and Die in LA combined. Bracing cinema. The opening scene is so intense it can't be put into words. That opening sets the table for the best flick of the past five years.
Shot on location in Detroit (my hometown) this is no holds barred, violent, and gritty. Not to be missed.
