Review of Mr. Baseball (1992) by Jj S — 19 May 2010
Wow. I'm shocked at the abysmally low rating for this film. I'm not claiming it's in the category of Field of Dreams or The Natural, but Mr. Baseball was just on the north side of "fresh" in my book.
Tom Selleck was very good portraying an entitled American sports hero suddenly thrust into the fish out of water plot. The baseball and the situation was actually believable. The second half sunk into predictable plot territory, but I'm not embarassed to say I mildly enjoyed this movie.
