Review of Miller's Crossing (1990) by Matthew G — 02 Jan 2011
A brilliant film which was utterly enthralling. The Coen Brothers' managed to make it very believable and extremely moving, in combination with a great script and a plot which was virtually second to none.
The rather frightening violence was sometimes shrouded in secrecy, and at other times bursting onto the streets with relentless force. This masterpiece is definitely another one of my favourites, if not my favourite film of all time.
