Review of Lenny (1974) by Rodney E — 11 Oct 2008
Dustin Hoffman gives one of the greatest performances as Lenny Bruce. All of Bruce's comedic tics and foul mouthed routines are there and Hoffman brings him to life with a sort of zest that actors seemed to showcase in the 70's.
The comedy and tragedy is all there. Valerie Perrine is great in this too but it clearly is Dustin Hoffman's show.
