Review of Lady Macbeth (2016) by Douglas R — 18 Jun 2017
Lady Macbeth tells the story of young bride who has been sold into marriage to a middle-aged man discovers an unstoppable desire within herself as she enters into an affair with a worker on her estate.
Overall, Lady Macbeth is probably one of my favorite films of the year. The performance of Florence Pugh was an exquisite whirlpool, of love, and sexuality with the 19th century real England. What made me fall in love with Lady Macbeth is the thrill and suspense Florence Pugh's performance puts on to thrill us, the audience, from her affair, which haunts me dearly. This is a film of genuine force. It's camera angles, and pinpoint-sharp acting, makes this film one of the best.
