This film was supposed to star Elvis' movie idol the James Dean who was killed three years earlier in a horrific auto accident.
King Creole is considered to be one of Elvis' finest films and the kind of serious film that Presley tried to pursue in his career.
The film also feature riveting performances by Carolyn Jones and Walter Mattau.
