Unique, sensual serial killer movie that focuses on a pensive teacher/linguist with a particular sexual appetite that always seem to lead to unstable relationships. Meg Ryan is astonishingly good and the visual mode of the film all serve to create a ravishing, tormenting psychological portrait, despite some clunky bits.
