Review of I, Tonya (2017) by Danny B — 15 Jan 2018
This was one of the best movies of 2017, even though I didn't get to see it until 2018. There were literally at least two parts that had me tear up. This is such a very good movie. I love the use of breaking the fourth wall, I love the look at her life from this point of view.
My generation was force fed that she was a terrible person--a villain. Her story is a tragic one and, sadly, you knew it would be early on. I found the movie to be very well done, the performances outstanding, and the story/writing to be very moving and believable, especially with the multiple POV narrative.
If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.
