This is a coming-of-age story, but at a different age. Doris reinvents herself, throws out all the old rules, and makes some big changes. She goes after a younger man and allows herself to act on her fantasies.
The movie oscillates between humor and sadness, in a beautiful way. And Sally Field is just a gem.
