Review of Harlan County U.S.A. (1977) by Dominic D — 18 Jan 2008
A powerful documentary. This film chronicles the attempt of Kentucky mine workers to unionize despite management's violent, armed response. The personalities featured are engaging, and the footage they captured of armed goons and attempted murder is simply outstanding.
One of the best "true" documentaries ever made.
