Review of Hairspray (1988) by Alouise D — 20 Apr 2008
Ok I just watch Hairspray last week and I loved it. The movie is like the musical, but there are a few differences. One of the things I loved was that Link wasn't this total pushover. In the movie musical he was quite selfish, but here he was willing to support Tracy and the cause to integrate the Corny Collins Show.
I loved how they showed the dances, the music was just great. And the scene with the Psychartrist was hilarious. I also enjoyed hearing the commentary from John Waters and Ricki Lake. Great fun movie, if you love the new Hairspray you should definitely watch this.
