Review of Grizzly Park (2008) by Minh M — 21 Feb 2009
Oh, I love watching bad horror movies!
Within 30 seconds of this film, you know exactly what the premise is...and you see it's first killing. It may be the quickest plot setup I've ever seen, and in that way, and only that way, was it good.
I don't know why I expected anything from this movie, but what I found most puzzling was the character's failure to work with what they got. For instance, one of the character has a concealed weapon on her person, but when it comes time, she never fires it. None of the other characters use it to shoot the bear at all.
At the end of the movie, a serial killer is on the loose. He kills a couple of innocents, but 1/3 of the way through, he's mauled by the bear. Wouldn't it be more interesting if he finds the group of kids, so that they'll be running away from both the wildlife and the human killer?
This review is longer than the movie deserves. So yeah.
