Review of Ghoulies (1985) by Duncan B — 27 Jul 2008
Bad actors harrassed by equally bad hand puppets in a story that rarely makes sense. How can you go wrong? Well, believe it or not they do. The only actor worth watching is the overly hammy Michael Des Barres (MacGuyver's arch enemy Murdoc).
Also of interest are Jack Nance's appearance as a character who might as well be named "Deus Ex Machina" and the film debut of Mariska Hargitay, Jayne Mansfield's daughter and star of Law & Order.
If you can figure out which side the midgets are on, please tell me.
