Review of Fox and His Friends (1975) by Chris S — 04 Jul 2008
Films with themes of homosexuality shouldn't always be about coming out of the closet and falling in love; they should also be something more than that and that's what Rainer Werner Fassbinder does in this masterpiece.
The film is more about social class than about sexuality. The ending is very tragic, and I can't help but feel sorry for Fox who just tried to be loving and devoted to his boyfriend but ended up being naive and fooled.
